The weather has caused a significant dip in my training. I have been quite good about it lately, though. I have ran almost daily for the past month [with a few breaks, but "cross-trained" . . . ], but that training has all been done on an indoor track.
Allow me to explain.
Sweaty runners, running on a 3-lane "track" that is the second "story" to the basketball courts in the CCRB (central campus rec building). Therefore, I am sharing oxygen with all of the runners, as well as all of the basketball ballas, the volleyball courts, and occasional intense game of badminton going on [which occurs more often than volleyball . . . ]. aka: I can hardly breathe. I notice such a huge difference in my running in comparison to outside. My form is different, my breathing is faster, and I am way less relaxed.
I guess I am just used to running outdoors. I feel so much more, occupied, focused, and just in sync with my body. I can pick up my pace, decrease my pace, look at what's going on around me, and still manage to stay relaxed. Plus, there's fresh air.
I'm kind of nervous that I ran outside today, though. From what I hear, we are supposed to get more snow : (( aka: it might be the last time I run outside until after spring break : (
WHICH PS-> IS NEXT FRIDAY!!! : DDDD'
Oh, and one more thing. Starting Monday, I am going to start my training for my half this summer. I'm going to document all of my time on here to keep myself accountable. : ) wish me luck!
